Derby Royals have become league champions
Without kicking a ball the Royals have become league champions for the first time. everyone involved with the club will admit this has been a very testing year with the squad losing many players to academies and the league taking 6 points unfairly from the club while throwing us out of their cup compition as well. Still the boys have kept there heads up while working very hard to secure there first league title. Its a credit to the strenght and depth of the club that they can perform so well week in week out with all the distraction going on. On a personal note I would like to thank Paul and my wife Jayne especially but also to all of the parents that stayed loyal to the end of the season and believed in the club. Your hard work and trust in the club has been rewarded with a EuropeanCup and League title for all the children involved, something the lads will have as a memory for the rest of there lifes

Royals Lift the European Cup
Derby Royals beat FK VIBORG 5.3 on Penalties in the European cup final to lift the Cup. FK VIBORG are a top proffesional club in Denmark which have 6 academy teams in each age group that play in an elite Danish league, At FK Viborg players are given sholarships that include all there educational requirements along with proffesional football coaching all under one roof. Viborg then select a squad of 18 players from there 6 elite teams to play international friendlies and european tournaments It is an amazing achievement that our Royals have travelled all the way to Holland with only 12 players, played 5 hours of football in two days beat FC Copenagen in there last group game 3.1 and although they looked shattered in the final where able to hold a elite Danish select 11 team Viborg to a 0-0 draw before going on to beat them on 5-3 penalties

Derby Royals Sign not One but Three New Players
Derby Royals have brought in 3 new players to help boost thedwindling squad. With scouts now watching every Royals game
it is expected that more of our squad will be lost to academy teams.
It was therefore important with the transfer window closing last Saturday to bring in extra cover. I am pleased to annouce that the three lads coming in all play to the very high standard of football required to play for the Royals and will be pushing for first team places very quickly
Royals sign two new players
Derby Royals are pleased to anounce the signing Tirrell Cordin and Ross Archer as replacements for Dom and Jordan who have left for Notts County
Everyone at Derby Royals would like to wish Alain Mbuku all the best in his new home in Bedford.
Alain
Joined us at the start of the season and quckly became a legend with
his stories of all night partying. His power and strength in midfield
will be remembered most. Although he's moved away he will still be
popping back to help us out know and again
