Saturday 28th Jan: Royals lose out on Penalties
The Royals first team suffered a heart breaking penalty defeat at the hands of Mickleover RBL. With the score level at 2-2 following extra time RBL eventually won on penalties. Royals scorers on the Day Jordan Simpson (1) and with his 100th for the club Josh Gregory. 


Saturday 28th Jan: Royals defeated by Wirksworth
The Derby Royals second team suffered a narrow 3-2 defeat at the hands of Wirksworth despite goals from Andy Gunter and Tom Berrisford.

Saturday 14th Jan: Reserves beat Roe Farm
The Royals second team made it three wins from the last five thanks to a goal from Adam Clarke. Final Score Royals (1) - Roe Farm (0).

Saturday 7th Jan : Royals and Melbourne teams meet on same day
Both the Derby Royals First Team and Second Team faced Melbourne Dynamo in the first game of 2012. The Reserves Drew 2-2 with Melbourne Dynanmo Res, goals from Ross Archer (1) and Adam Clarke (1), meanwhile the Derby Royals first team also drew 1-1 with Melbourne Dynamo, the first teams scorer being Sam Griffiths. 

Saturday 17th Dec: Royals continue cup success
The Derby Royals first team eased past Newhall United with a well deserved 3-1 victory. Goals from Andy Bacon (1) and Sam Griffiths (2) take the Royals into the next round.

Saturday 17th Dec: Reserves conceed 7 in defeat to Ambergate
The Royals second team suffered a blip in their recent improved form with a 7-2 defeat the hands of Ambergate. There were however goals from Mikey Callaghan (1) and Ross Archer (1)

Saturday 10th Dec: Reserves to strong for Punjab
Punjab United could not handle a Derby Royals second team that finds itself in good form going into the Christmas Break. Final Score - Punjab United Res (1) - Derby Royals Res (6).

Saturday 3rd Dec: Reserves back to winning ways
The Derby Royals second team climbed above Chellaston F.C. Reserves after a convincing 3-1 victory. Recent results have been good for the second string and goals from Josh Gregory (2) and Tom Duncombe (1) made the final score Chellaston F.C. Res (1) - Derby Royals Res. (3)


Saturday 26th Nov: Draw leaves Royals frustrated
The Derby Royals first team produced their sixth draw from sixteen games as they drew 1-1 with Chellaston F.C. The Royals could and perhaps should have been four or five up at the break. Into the second half and with neither side having made the breakthrough it was Chellaston who struck first to make it 1-0. The Royals did however reply straight from the restart through Josh Gregory. Final score: Derby Royals (1) - Chellaston  F.C. (1)


Saturday 26th Nov: Defeat for Royals Second team
Derby Royals Res. could not maintain their recent improved form as they suffered a 6-1 defeat at the hands of Allenton Uniteds second team. Tom Berrisford was however on the score sheet which will please the Royals management. Final score: Derby Royals Res. (1) - Allenton United Res. (6).

Saturday 19th Nov: Royals hit 5 to progress in cup
The Derby Royals first team scored 5 times with 5 different scorers as they beat Little Eaton 5-0 at Bemrose School. The Royals led 4-0 at the break thanks to goals from Josh Gregory (1), Gareth Black (1), Troy Black (1) and Alex Urry (1). A second half strike from Sam Griffiths made the final score, Derby Royals (5) - Little Eaton (0).
Saturday 19th Nov: Second String take a share of the points
The Derby Royals Second team shared the points on Saturday as they drew 0-0 with Hilton. Neither side could break the deadlock in a closely contested game. Final Score Hilton (0) - Derby Royals (0)

Saturday 12th Nov: Royals and Allenton share the points
There was nothing to seperate Derby Royals and top of the table Allenton United as the match finished 2-2. Derby Royals had led 2-0 thanks to goals from Troy Black and Sam Griffiths, however Allenton came back in the second half to make the final score Derby Royals (2) - Allenton United (2).

Saturday 29th Oct: Early exit for Royals in Challenge Cup
The Derby Royals first team are out of the challenge cup after a 3-1 defeat at the hands of first division Woolley Moor United. The Royals were 2-0 down at the break and despite grabbing a goal in the second half Woolley Moor went on to make the final score - Woolley Moor (3) - Derby Royals (1). The Royals scorer was Josh Gregory.

Saturday 22nd Oct: Royals to strong for Holbrook
The Derby Royals first team put in an impressive display to take all three points against Holbrook St Michaels. The Royals dominated from the off, eventually winning by five goals to nil. The Royals goals were scored by Kirk Francis (2), Sam Griffiths (2) and Jay James (1).

Sat 22nd Oct: Reserves come back from 2-0 to take all three points
The Derby Royals won their first game in five matches with a 3-2 victory over Roe Farm. Roe Farm had led 2-0 but goals from Tom Berrisford (2) and Ashley Broadhurst (1) made the final score - Royals (3) - Roe Farm (2)

Sat 15th Oct: Swanwick & Royals share the points
The Royals first team drew 1-1 with Swanwick thanks to a second half equaliser scored by defender Ollie Salami. Swanwick had led 1-0 at the break and will be pleased with the point they take away from the fixture.


Sat 15th Oct: Second team lose late on
The Derby Royals second team are out of the cup after a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Chellaston F.C. Res. Chellaston won the game thanks to a 75th minute header. The Royals will look to get three points when Roe Farm visit Bemrose School at the weekend.

Sat 8th Oct: Royals to strong for Willington
The Derby Royals first team put the disappointment of last weeks defeat behind them with a comfortable 4-1 victory over Willington. Royals led 2-0 at half time thanks to goals from John Whetton and Josh Gregory. Despite Willington pulling one back with 15 to the Royals kicked on and further goals from Stephen Ackers and Josh Gregory sealed the win.

Sat 8th Oct : Punjab beat Royals Second Team
The Derby Royals Second Team lost 4-2 to Punjab despite goals from Alex Urry and Ben Yule. 

Sat 1st Oct: First Team lose to Rowsley 86
The Derby Royals first team suffered their second defeat of the season away to Rowsley 86. Despite a 2-0 half time lead thanks to Troy Black (1) and Stephen Akers (1) Rowsley came back in the second half to take all three points thanks to three second half goals

Sat 1st Oct: Royals Second String defeated in the Cup
The Derby Royals Reserve team suffered a disappointing 6-0 defeat at the hands of Wirksworth Ivanhoe to send them out of the Challenge Trophy.

Derby Royals now have two ex junior players playing Professional football

The Royals are proud to announce that Michell Clarke made the subs bench for Notts County first team last Saturday at the tender age of 17. Mitch played for the Junior team that won the League at under 14's and although the club had very little to do with his personal development, it was obvious right from the start that he had bags of talent and that with a little luck could go far.

Sat 24th Sept: Royals Rally in Second half to take all three points
Derby Royals continued their good start to the season with a hard earned 2-1 win over Wirksworth Town. The Royals went in at half time 1-0 down however second half goals scored by captain Troy Black (1) and Stepehen Akers (1) made the final score Wirksworth Town (1) - Derby Royals (2).

Sat 24th Sept: 87th minute heart ache for second string
A goal in the final five minutes of the game gave Pastures Reserves all three points as they came up against their Royals counterparts. The game looked like finishing level before Pastures struck in the 87th minute. The Royals goal was scored by Alex Urry. Final score Derby Royals Res. (1) - Pastures Res. (2)


Sat 17th Sept: Royals to strong for Mackworth
The Derby Royals second team completed their first double of the season with victory over Mackworth St Francis. The Royals who beat Mackworth by the odd goal 2 weeks ago did the same again this time at Mackworth College. The final score was Mackworth (2) - Derby Royals (3). All of the Royals goals were scored by Troy Black,

Mon 12th Sept : Little Eaton hit 4 to beat Royals
The Derby Royals second team conceeded four without reply as Little Eaton took all three points. The Royals found themselves 3-0 down at half time and could do little to narrow the scoreline in the second half. Little Eaton scored again late on to make the final score Little Eaton Res 4 - Derby Royals Res 0.

Sat 10th Sept: No Goals are Royals draw with Newmount
Derby Royals faced an organised Newmount team in their second home game of the season. Neither team could find the net on the day. Final score Royals (0) - Newmount (0).

Sat 10th Sept; Royals Res out of Junior Cup
The Derby Royals second team are out of the Junior cup due to a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Pastures Res. The Royals goalscorer was Ashley Dale.

Wed 7th Sept: Royals Breakdown determined Holbrook side
The Derby Royals first team broke down a determined Holbrook St Michaels side to take all three points. The first half was fustrating and the sides went in level but second half goals from Josh Gregory (1) and Rob Fox (1) made the final score Royals (2) - Holbrook (0).

Mon 5th Sept : Royals take all three points from Mackworth
Derby Royals Second team inflicted Mackworth St Francis's first defeat of the season with a 4-3 win. The Royals had led 1-0 before 3 mackworth goals put them 3-1 up. By half time the Royals had levelled and the sides went in a 3-3. The second half saw a single goal, that goal was provided by Royals captain Ashley Broadhurst. The Royals first half goals came through Sam Griffiths (2) and Niall Mather (1). Final Score Derby Royals (4) - Mackworth St Francis (3).

Sat 3rd Sept: Royals hit 10 to progress in cup
The Derby Royals second team scored 10 as they beat Hilton Harriers 10-2 in the first round of the Challenge Cup. The Royals goals were scored by Kirk Francis (4), Chris Martin (2), Josh Gregory (1), Jamie Warner (1), Stephen Akers (1) and Daniel Beresford (1).

Wed 31st Aug: Second Team game abandoned after 75 minutes
The Royals second team travelled to Newton on Wednesday night for another MRA Division 2 fixture. Newton led by 1 goal to Nil thanks to a first half goal, however on 75 minutes an injury to a Newton player ended the game with 15 minutes left to play. Score at time of abandonment Newton (1) - Derby Royals Res (0).

Mon 29th Aug: Royals earn point at Matlock
The derby royals first team came from 2-1 down at half time to earn a point away at Matlock Sports. The Royals goals were scored by Olli Salami (1) and the returning Kirk Francis (1). Final score Matlock Sports (2) - Derby Royals (2).

Sat 27th Aug: Bad day at the office for Royals second team
Derby Royals Res. suffered a disappointing 8-1 defeat at the hands of Chellaston res. Things had looked up after an impressive win on monday, the team must now move on despite this small set back and look to get the three points when they travel to Newton in midweek. On a postive note James Smith continued his impressive form with another goal. 

Wed 24th Aug: Royals dominate in 1-0 victory over R.B.L
Derby Royals first team took all three points with a 1-0 win over Mickleover R.B.L. The Royals could and perhaps should of been 3 or 4 up at the break however the sides went in level at the interval. A second half strike from Stephen Akers was however enough in the end to take the Royals up to third.

Sat 6th Aug 11 : Start of 2011/12 MRA Season
Neither of the Royals teams are in action today as the 2011/12 MRA season kicks off. The first game for the Royals first team sees them face Allenton united on Wednesday, who today entertain Cromford, at Rolls Royce. Royal’s first team face Cromford away in a couple of weeks as well. The Second Team are also not in action, with their first game at home to Bargate next weekend, Bargate play Mackworth St Francis at Derby College this afternoon.

Derby Royals wrapped up their pre-season fixtures with a well deserved victory against a Mickleover Sports XI.

Sun 30th July 11: Royals lose 4-2 to Cobra
Sunday saw the Royals suffer a 4-2 defeat in the penultimate pre-season friendly at the hands of Cobra Oakwood.

Mon 25th July 11: Victory for Royals Second Team 5-1

The Derby Royals Second Team put in a strong display against RBL reserves at Sinfin School. The Royals dominated the first half and led 3-1 at the break. A further 2 goals in the second half made the final score Derby Royals 5 RBL 1.

Sat 23rd July 11: Royals suffer defeat to Holbrook Sports 2-0

The royals lost 2-0 to Holbrook sports today; however the team had a very good workout in preparation for the new season and certainly should be pleased with the shift they put in.

Wed 13th July 11: Another Royals Pre-season victory 3-0

The royals again showed their quality with a convincing 3-0 win over Denby FC.

Tue 5th July 11: Royals beat Chellaston Reserves 1-0 
The 2011/2012 pre-season programme got off to a winning start as derby royals beat Chellaston reserves 1-0 thanks to a second half goal.
